About Me
Hey, my name is Tristan and thank you so much for visiting my website and sampling some of what the world has to offer through my photography. Over the years I've met some great people with great stories and have finally found time to share some of mine. I really hope the photographs will give inspiration and fuel an inner passion for the joys of travel and exploration. Equally I hope to receive some great idea's to fuel mine!
As a person, I was born and raised in Norfolk, England and brought up on family holidays exploring the wilds of the UK leading to my love of nature and the outdoors. Joining the Royal Air force led to a posting to Germany in the early 90's so giving me the chance to visit many of the countries east of the Iron circuit before the days of mass tourism.
Back to the UK, life got in the way but in 2006 I went on what I hoped would be a trip of a life time to Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya which included sitting with the mountain gorilla's for an hour. In hind sight a defining moment reigniting my passion for travel leading for the desire to sample more. One of my mottos has always been to "work hard and play hard" which has allowed me to do just that. As a Telecoms Project Engineer, dreaming of my next holiday made numerous long night shifts more bearable.
I've used a Canon PowerShot bridge camera for years but with a trip to the Antarctic planned I jumped to the next level and now shoot a Nikon D500 and 610.
Remember never stop dreaming about the future, the moment you live solely on your memories will be a sad day. My big aim here is to inspire, I hope I've managed to do that if only for a moment?
